I’ll be making my second appearance as a participant in The Tarot School’s Readers Studio this year. I’ll be working at the Tarot Media Company booth while learning tarot techniques from James Wells, James Wanless, and Shawn Nacol, along with many of my other wonderful peers.

Imbibe and Divine
2012 PantheaCon— Double Tree Inn, San Jose, CA

February 17-20, Sunday 11:00 pm
Imbibe and Divine is a multi-sensory experience where participants explore the tarot in culinary delights. Part wine-tasting and part discussion on the taboos surrounding tarot and drinking, this class seeks to answer the question how can wine be like a tarot card. Jaymi Elford facilitates this class and also introduces the “TIPPSY spread”. No prior knowledge or reading experience is necessary. You don’t have to memorize meanings or esoteric occult lore either. Participation is encouraged but not a requirement. Class limited to persons 21 and over, IDs checked at the door.

NaNoWriMo Plot Party
NaNoWriMo is a wonderful, seat of your pants writing experience. The goal is to write a complete first draft of a novel in 30 days (or less). Started in 1998 by Chris Baty, NaNoWriMo is an international project that I have been taking apart of for the past 10 years now. Come join us at Three Creeks Library on this evening to learn more about NaNoWriMo and see how tarot can help you create a plot that you can use to write 50,000 words in November.

2011 Tarot Intensive and Retreat — Yachats, OR
July 2011
Summer 2011, i I returned to the Oregon Coast for Katrina’s Tarot Intensive and Retreat where we explored the darker side of tarot through Devil’s play. I learned more about the interconnections between tarot and alchemy, astrology, and Qabalah. During the retreat, I got the opportunity to share some of the knowledge from my Imbibe and Divine class.

The Readers Studio 2011

I made my first appearance as a participant in The Tarot School’s Readers Studio this year. I learned more tarot techniques with luminaries Corrine Kenner, Barbara Moore, Wald and Ruth Ann Amberstone, and many others. I had an incredible time and can’t wait to attend in 2012.

Hacking the Tarot

This unplanned class replaced another presentation where the instructor was not able to make it. In this session hosts Jaymi Elford and Paula Meier answered questions about various aspect of tarot itself, reading for self and for others, and how intuitive tarot works.

Second Transformative Tarot Counseling Intensive — Portland, OR
I reunited with my TTC Pod to take Katrina Wynne’s 2nd Tarot Intensive. This weekend intensive covered the second level of her Transformative Tarot Counseling Certification Program and discussed Psychology, Dream Analysis, and Tarot Symbolism. She also supervised more reading sessions to make sure we’re getting her unique perspective on reading the cards. Check out Katrina’s site for information, cost and details. Looking for some halloween fun? Come join me and my fellow tarot readers as we provide some divination fun for Washington State University at Vancouver’s Halloween party. Costumes optional. This event is open to the public and will be held at the Firstenburg building. Canned and non-perishable food donations for Martha’s Pantry accepted at the door. A special midnight showing of the Rocky Horror Picture Show will end the festivities.
